The Splatoon 2 World Championship 2018 was a Splatoon 2 tournament that took place at E3 2018.
Qualifiers
One team was chosen to represent each of the four regions at the World Championship: North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia, each through their own regional tournament.
North America
The Splatoon 2 U.S./Canada Inkling Open 2018 was used to determine what team would be representing the U.S./Canada region in the tournament. SetToDestroyX won, earning their spot in the World Championship. The team was formerly Deadbeat, who won the 2017 Splatoon 2 World Inkling Invitational at E3 2017.[1]
Europe
The Splatoon European Championship 2017 was used to determine what team would be representing the Europe region in the tournament. BackSquids (formerly known as Gucci Gang) won, earning their spot in the World Championship.[2]
Japan
Splatoon Koshien 2018 was used to determine what team would be representing the Japan region in the tournament. GG BoyZ won, earning their spot in the World Championship.[3]
Australia
The 2018 AUNZ Splatoon 2 Cup was used to determine what team would be representing the Australia region in the tournament. Yeah Nah won, earning their spot in the World Championship.[4]

Semifinals
The semifinals took place on June 11, 2018 from 3:30-6:00pm PT (6:30-9:00pm ET) to determine the two teams who would be competing in the Grand Finals the following day.
Finals
The finals took place on June 12, 2018 at 1pm PT (4pm ET) between GG BoyZ (Japan) and BackSquids (Europe). The Grand Finals was a best of 7 between the four different Ranked Battle modes.
