About signatures

Hey, I noticed you've been signing your comments using Template:Unsigned. I just want to let you know that you don't need to do so; you can sign any of your messages by just entering '~~~~' at the end (it will automatically convert to your signature). The unsigned template is for occasions when an editor may forget to sign their own message, and someone else will insert the template for them. Thank you! Jackpot

Thanks for uploading all that information about Jackpot; it really helps us out covering the competitive scene. While Jackpot might not be a future incarnation of Sayonara, would it be fair to mention in Jackpot's history that former members of Sayonara formed Jackpot?

Hi there, no problem, I'm glad to help! I talked with Jackpot's captain, Madness, via discord, and I've reached to the conclusion that there has been a misunderstanding on the Inkipedia about the Sayonara and Jackpot teams.
Madness had told me that "we never originated from Sayonara, we just happened to have a similar roster as that team" and also pointed out that "There were two 2023 NA championship LANs technically but only one of them qualified you for worlds. Sayonara was in the first one and Jackpot was in the second one (the one that qual'ed for worlds)". Note that I haven't contrasted this info.
Meanwhile on the article Splatoon 3 North American Championship 2023 we just listed the LAN in which Sayonara participated, which is probably what originated the idea that Jackpot was a reformation of Sayonara, which isn't true.
What I think we should do is keep both teams separate as they are different teams, and add the LAN in which Jackpot participated on the Splatoon 3 North American Championship 2023 page. wmyttmlimvty (talk) 14:12, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Tbh for now I'm still a bit confused. wmyttmlimvty (talk) 21:09, 24 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Nevermind, I realized we had an article already for the second LAN in Splatoon 3 Championship 2023. I would still keep the two tournaments and teams separate to avoid confusion. wmyttmlimvty (talk) 10:32, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Alright so I think it's fine to point out where the members came from on the Competitive:Jackpot page.
Feel free to edit it youself. I'll be afk for some days as I need to take care of other things irl. wmyttmlimvty (talk) 10:53, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
