Battle Points
Points, usually shortened to just P in-game, acts as experience awarded to players after completing a multiplayer match. These count towards the player Inkling's level.
Use of Points
Points are primarily used to level up the Inkling. Points are also converted into cash, and count towards gear slots unlocking.
All of these receive the exact number of points earned at the end of a match and is not split between them.
Earning
Players can earn points in multiplayer mode or by fulfilling amiibo challenges.
In Turf War, points are earned by covering ground. The more ground covered, the more points earned. A bonus 300 points is awarded to each player on the winning team.
In Splat Zones, points are earned by knocking out the opposing team or by being the team with the least time on the clock when the match ends. Bonus points are earned by a "knockout".
