Agent 3 is the name that the player is referred to in Octo Valley by Cap'n Cuttlefish.
The name Agent 3 was given because Agent 1 and Agent 2 were already taken by the Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie. Agent 3's goal in Hero Mode is to defeat the Octarians and to retrieve the stolen Zapfish from the various levels and bosses.
