Splatfest is a special event that takes place in Splatoon.
Description
Splatfest is a recurring event hosted by the Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie. During this event, Inklings are able to choose between two teams, Cats or Dogs, and participate in battles against the other team. Inkopolis Plaza and all the stages are decorated to reflect the event, becoming nighttime and being adorned with festive lights. Only two colors are playable during Splatfest: orange for Cats and light blue for Dogs.
Super Sea Snails are awarded to members of the winning team upon Splatfest's conclusion.

Trivia
- In Japan, instead of the teams being Cats and Dogs, they are Rice and Bread.
