Low quality images
Hiya, just a quick message to say thank you for your help in updating some old low-quality images! We appreciate the dedication to making things look crisp! See you around, GloverMist (talk) 22:30, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- No problem! I'm trying to improve most of the Splatoon 1 content. (talk) 22:46, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- I have a suggestion if you are using a capture card.
- For Splatoon 1 specifically, it's best to set the Wii U output resolution and the capture card's resolution to 720p.
- This is because the game's native resolution is 720p, and capturing the native resolution always produces the best image!
- 1080p captures work great for Splatoon 2 because Splatoon 2 is a 1080p game.
- But for Splatoon 1 a 1080p capture is actually just 720p stretched to fit a 1080p image, because Splatoon is a 720p game.
- I hope this information helps! Heddy (talk) 23:20, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the info! I was struggling with getting gif's and mp4 files under 5mb so this will probably help. Zyliqx (talk) 23:33, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
- Are you replacing existing gifs/mp4s or making entirely new videos? For long videos, it's best to use Youtube. Heddy (talk) 00:04, 26 April 2022 (UTC)
