Should this be its own page?

Both this and the Firefin Splat Charger are called the Splacharger Collab in Japan, so what region do we prioritise? Just having it be done without some sort of vote or discussion seems wrong to me. -Gulliblepikmin 16:11, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

It does have the same name – in Japanese. It's just changed in English. There's been some discussion of this in the Discord, but it really is the same weapon, just got renamed in S3. –Eli (talk) 07:54, 22 February 2023 (UTC)

I'm honestly not 100% sure, but because the wiki isn't in Japanese I don't think it would cause too much of an issue. Plus if we need to we could add redirects or disambiguation pages to help guide users where they need to go. HalfSanitized (talk) 20:55, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

It's explicitly a Z+F collab item, not a firefin collab item.

- Both brands exist in S3

- The original JP tweet calls it a collab with "ezokkorii" (which is Z+F) instead of a collab with "hokkorii" (which is firefin)

- Its weapon icon uses the Z+F logo, not the firefin logo, and the two of these logos are distinguished in game

Dualie Squelchers and Dual Squelcher also have the same name in Japan, and despite mutual exclusivity between their games, are seperate pages. Language is not the actual distinguisher between pages and there are many examples on this wiki where its shown not to matter. What we're meant to decide is whether a game exclusive lineage should be given a seperate page based on how it aesthetically or functionally distinguishes itself. Z+F is very much distinct from its predecessor brands. It functions differently for rolling abilities as clothing. it is aesthetically distinct. In every region it has a different name. Effectively, this weapon is made by a new brand despite name stagnation in the original translation. This should be acknowledged by keeping its page seperate. In my opinion, this is a separate weapon from the Firefin Splat Charger and warrants a separate page. It has a separate name and design and all other brand collab weapons have been kept as separate pages. EminenceTalk 14:40, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
