File source edits

Hi there, Mudkipcop! Just wanted to let you know that when adding sources to files, we should only add "self" if we're 100% sure the uploader took the photo. In the future, it's best to leave the parameter blank if you aren't certain. Thanks! FancyRat 22:32, 9 August 2023 (UTC)

File source (formatting, this time)

Hey, your efforts in sourcing files are really appreciated, though I feel I should tell you that the user meta tag is better suited for user images. You can save yourself some time by pasting ChessMaster in the source parameter instead.

Thanks for the advice! I saw some other example of a file that was sourced using the user tag, and I haven't been great at sourcing in the past, so I just went off example. I'll be sure to do this moving forward. Mudkipcop (talk) 02:34, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

It doesn't cause technical issues to do things this way really, using the source paramater alone just avoids redundancy in file description templates, so no worries! Anemoia [Talk!] 02:46, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
