Sourcing

Heya. Did you capture all the close-ups like File:S3 Customization Eye 1 preview.png yourself or did you take them from somewhere else? Trig - 20:03, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

They were originally Splatunie's files, but they were submitted as replacements for the eye options' screenshots (example: ). I simply saved them and reuploaded them to replace the actual eye screenshots. Anemoia [Talk!] 15:38, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Renaming files and deleting redirects

It's been a week

Hiya, Anemoia! About a week (and a day if you wanna get technical) ago you asked the user "RamCat" to 1. use a signature that links to their personal page, 2. to have a name somewhat related to their original wiki-name, and 3. to stop mini-modding. Not to be that guy, but today the user did all three of those actions all at once (🤦‍♀️). Evidently, a new user chose to put in a machine translation, and RamCat left a message on the newcomers talk page about not using machine translations (likely mini-modding), left a signature that did not link to any page related to their personal page, and left a name that had little-to-no relation to their actual name. As a small note- letting people know about the wiki's policies is fine, the issue is mostly taking the initiative to warn every single person who makes a mistake, even many days after they've done so. The other two offenses are absolute no-nos though.

Uh, well, I think the introduction could use some paragraphs for readability purposes. Maybe make bold headers using ; at the beginning of paragraphs as a sort of "tl;dr", as well. Also remove sentences/asides which do not get straight to the point. It would make it seem a bit more professional. You might want to change "annalist" to "analyst", too, since you mention analyzing data (I assume that's what you're looking for. An annalist is more like an archivist).

Moving files without updating their usage

Hi, you recently moved File:S2 Mem Cake White Tee.png and File:S2 Mem Cake Inkling Squid.png without leaving a redirect and without updating their usage on diferent pages including the Main Page. Hey, sorry for the late reply.

The source of the problem is that cache purges weren't working on my end for some reason, meaning I couldn't reliably check which pages still needed their files updated, something that is overly tedious to do considering there were 80 files. Checking usage on the files' old names did not work, and neither did the "Pages with broken file links" category (and they are still broken at the time I'm typing this).

For this reason, I asked for Trig's help by queueing text replacements through Nukleopatra, but it seems that either the site or bot is lagging behind. This would additionally take care of the Main Page issue as I am unable to edit it as a patroller. I asked them in dms, but they can testify if required, and Nukleopatra's edits are visible in recent changes as well.

Special:WantedFiles itself is lagging behind (at least for me), as it lists all files as missing from Mem cake. This is untrue, because my edit to Template:Mem cake table row should have immediately fixed all broken file links upon moving the images; visiting the page proves it doesn't have the broken file links category.

I apologize for the trouble once again, though unfortunately I think there isn't much I can do but wait at this point. If some pages are still broken by tomorrow, please let me know here or in the server (as I cannot guarantee the cache issue will be resolved) and I will fix whatever the bot's mass-replace may have missed.
