Sunken Scrolls are items found in SplatoonTemplate:As Hero Mode. They appear to be lost pages that depict the history and lore of Inkopolis; specifically, the feud between Inklings and Octarians. Sunken Scrolls are usually hidden in not-so-obvious places, except in boss stages, where it is given to the player right after defeating the boss. There is one Scroll in each stage, resulting in 27 regular scrolls and 5 scrolls awarded by bosses.

After each boss fight (with exception to the final boss's, which is found during the fight), the scroll awarded will be a blueprint for a new weapon. This blueprint may be shown to Sheldon in Ammo Knights to unlock a new weapon. New weapons must still be purchased, and all level requirements before unlocking them still apply.
