Octoballs are Octarian fighters who possess the ability to spread ink while rolling on smooth surfaces.

Description

Octoballs are small, round Octarians with one large eye and and a pair of purple lips. Because of their body shape, they are able to roll on smooth surfaces while leaving behind a thick trail of purple ink. When shot with Inkling ink, they are pushed backwards, but not harmed. However, if submerged in a puddle of Agent 3's ink, they will struggle to move and can be destroyed.

• Octoballs first appeared in Octo Valley mission 2, Lair of the Octoballs.

Trivia

• You can destroy the Octoballs without making them go in your ink. When you shoot at them while they're in their own ink, they will get pushed back allowing you to knock them off the cliff. This is useful for levels with the Inkling Girl amiibo levels as you can snipe them off the cliffs if they're in their own ink.
