Splatoon 2 Special Demo
The Splatoon 2 Special Demo was a free Splatoon 2 demo available on the Nintendo eShop. Similar to Splatoon 2 Global Testfire and Splatoon 2 Splatfest World Premiere Demo, it allowed players to engage in free four-on-four Turf War with other players who own the full game, with additions of Salmon Run and Ranked Battle, at scheduled times. Players who downloaded the demo receives a 7-day free trial for Nintendo Switch Online. The demo was playable between March 19, 2019 (7:00 am PT) to March 25, 2019 (6:59 am PT).
Description
This demo is identical to the full game, barring access to single player modes and The Shoal. Entering these modes will prompt the player to purchase the full game from the Nintendo eShop. Players can access full game features like the Galleria to purchase clothing and weapons. Progress from the Special Demo can be transferred to the full game.
