::SplatoonNA is known for making many translation mistakes, and this one is no different. This weapon is called the Splatana Stamper Nouveau, not Neo. It may have been because nouveau (meaning new in French) and Neo have similar meanings. {{User:OrderSquid38/Sig}} 13:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

::::How about we stop arguing? When the season releases, then we see who’s right. Until then, we just ignore the name. Like I said, it’s totally possible that it could be Neo, maybe it was a collab of Neo and Nouveau and Neo got the name while Nouveau got to be on the weapon. Who knows? The devs do. But until the release, let’s just drop the matter. Stay Fresh! {{User:NewSquidbeakSplatoon/Sig}} 14:05, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Incorrect naming

Just so everyone knows, the Splatoon NA twitter post says that this is called the Neo Splatana Stamper, Not the Splatana Stamper Nouveau. I will move the page back and rename all appearances of Splatana Stamper Nouveau, because it is the incorrect name. Stay Fresh! Due to the naming pattern we can confirm that the North American Nintendo Twitter account made a mistake in naming. We can see through the logo on the bottom right that as well as the design of the weapon itself, that it is a Nouveau-branded weapon.   Perfectionist   (talk) 19:16, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I partially understand your point of view. I'm sure we were all thrown off by the name Neo Splatana Stamper, but the Neo logo is at the bottom right corner, and they must've named it the Neo Splatana Stamper. That is surely not be a mistake. In a game sense, it was likely a collab between the two, and Neo took the name, while Nouveau got the logo on the weapon. It is logical, at the least. I don't think you should protect the page over this as well. Seems a little, petty sort of? Not sure of the word I'm looking for, but I still feel the page shouldn't be protected over the naming matter, and I strongly feel that I am correct. Anyways, don't forget to Stay Fresh! I think you are still confusing Neo and Nouveau which is why I would like you to follow both links and compare their respective logos with the one on the Splatana Stamper Nouveau. The protection meassure has been taken since this marks the second case of a move over the course of roughly 3 hours. The protection will expire in one week from now and only prevents another move.   Perfectionist   (talk) 19:47, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oh. I thought that secondary logo was the Neo logo. I am so sorry for the trouble!!! I get my logos confused often, and I am so so very sorry for causing this trouble. Thank you for letting me know about my mistake, I will be more careful when writing pages around weapon brands. I didn't mean to cause the trouble. Please accept my apology. Stay Fresh! The Japanese name uses ヒュー which is Nouveau. Neo would be ネオ, which is not the case here. Harimaron (talk) 19:50, 27 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

At this point, I think we should wait and see until we get more names. Let time tell, it's arriving quite soon. Lvlen-125 (talk) 12:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
SplatoonNA is known for making many translation mistakes, and this one is no different. This weapon is called the Splatana Stamper Nouveau, not Neo. It may have been because nouveau (meaning new in French) and Neo have similar meanings. OrderSquid38 New Squid.jpg OrderSquid38 [Talk] 13:34, 28 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
