Talk:Return of the Mammalians (mission)

Pause quote

I don't know how to exactly work the templates but I saw in the pause screen during the fight, that there's a quote that says "It's About to Get Hairy!".

Can someone add it in? Argus (talk) 02:52, 18 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Is the fourth phase considered a second level in itself?

There needs to be a final decision made as to whether the fourth phase (fought upon the Octobot King) is a separate section from the three fought by New Agent 3 alone.

As mentioned in Talk:Return of the Mammalians, I have been treating them as two separate stages due to the fact that they are separated by a cutscene - but I must remember that this is not the only interpretation. How will we ensure that a consensus is reached? Just a silly little goose ^.^ (talk | contribs) 05:10, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That's something worth considering. I'm personally not sure about this when I created this page, because the two Octobot battles in s1 and s2 have one page. In OE, the battle against Agent 3 is called Spinal Phase while the one against NILS statue is called Turf War.
The Mr. Grizz rocket cutscene doesn't have a title it seems, that's the biggest problem I think FMSTZ9263 (talk) 08:06, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I see where you're coming from. However, the final phase of Bomb Rush Blush takes place in the same arena as the prior phases, where both Turf War and Return of the Mammalians take place in a completely different environment to the previous battle as well as being separated from it by a cutscene. (What is it with this series and naming final battles after existing modes?)
Return of the Mammalians (mode) gave the Rocket Battle the name of "Rocket Battle", but I was unsatisfied with that name and changed it to The Ursine Anomaly - 03, which is the closest thing that that phase has to an official title. There is also currently a dummied-out entry in that page's list for the battle between Hugefry and Mr. Grizz with the page title "Return of the Mammalians (level)", which I had planned to complete once I had found a suitable photo - the exact one used on this page, to be precise. This page had existed for about eight hours when I made said edit, but I was unaware of it at the time. Just a silly little goose ^.^ (talk | contribs) 09:00, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ah, I see. Anyways if anything, moving the first part of the battle with Mr. No-severance-pay Guy to the page you've created isn't too hard.
Also would it be better to make this page "Return of the Mammalians (Mission)? FMSTZ9263 (talk) 12:52, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I just did the moving. More details could be added seperately to these two pages. I hope this can make things clearer (the RotM template at the bottom still isn't changed though...) FMSTZ9263 (talk) 13:08, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Moves & Cleanup

Alright. The first phase now belongs to a page called Rocket Battle. FMSTZ9263 (talk) 06:06, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

To do

  • Walkthrough: Identify the song whose melody is used for the bad ending's siren

What are you referring to? I screen-recorded all the main cutscenes with smallfry/hugefry, so i might have it!
(if its that part when smallfry is turning into hugefry i definentaly have it) StormsInTheSkies (talk) 13:56, 30 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The phrase "Agent 3 must defeat these enemies before they continue." is technically wrong.

Killing the enemies is not a requirement to beat Return of the Mammalians. You theoretically could just continue to suck up the Fuzzballs while ignoring the enemies Ooga chaga (talk) 06:28, 3 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

While it isn't an actual requirement for the fight to progress, ignoring them is effectively impossible with how quickly they damage the stationary player. I'll rework the phrasing, though 👍 Yoshifan52 (talk) 21:12, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
