Description

The Special Gauge fills up in a clockwise fashion with the Inkling's current ink colour.

Modes

Hero Mode

The Special Gauge is not activated in Hero Mode. Instead, Agent 3 must collect their Special Weapons from collectible tuna cans.

Other

In multiplayer Turf Wars and Ranked Battles, as well as in the Testing Area, the Inkling's Special Gauge fills as the player covers turf in ink.

Abilities

Abilities on a player's gear can affect the Special Gauge:

• The Special Charge Up ability increases the rate at which the special gauge fills by up to 30%.
• The Special Saver ability reduces how much the Special Gauge decreases after being splatted.
• The Tenacity ability automatically fills the Special Gauge any time your team has more inactive (waiting to respawn) players than the enemy team.
