CheckUser

In light of the recent spam, I feel this could be a valuable resource in case some of the spammers stem from the same IP address. Could we install this extension and allow admins and bureaucrats to use it? Nyargleblargle (Contribs) 22:18, 25 January 2016 (UTC)

Blogs

Ah yeah they don't get used a ton. I can't speak for anybody else, but.. I just don't have anything to blog about, really. I think their original implementation had something to do with the fact that Wikia uses em a lot, but they don't see much use here. And I don't mean that like its a bad thing! It's a nice feature to have for community announcements and whatever else, but I guess most people just don't have much to say. :y --Bzeep! talk 20:57, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

YouTube Video Links

I was thinking if we could put YouTube video links for help like thatsrb2dude or Nintendome on weapons or stages pages or is it against the copyrighting law. Ikakizzu 16:55pm, 2 February 2016 (GMT)

Simply linking is not a breach of law (and I doubt embedded is either). It's whether we want to do it -- who's to say what makes a "good quality" video? If we start linking to DUDE or Hank then someone's gonna say "Hey, what about my 5 second video?", and at that point we'll need a policy. User:Kjhf/Sig 10:34, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Category:DLC to Category:Downloadable content

I don't think it should be abbreviated. A bot could easily change it. Luke (talk) 13:39, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

It's easier to type for editors adding pages to the category. We could have DLC as a redirect category. But yes, very easy for the bot to change it if that's what we wanna do. I don't mind either way. User:Kjhf/Sig 14:05, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Userboxes

I've suddenly noticed userboxes popping up everywhere! 3 Questions:

• 1) Can we make our own?
• 2) Is there a page for userboxes?

1. Sure!
2. You can find out by checking the templates derived from Template:Userbox. We could make a category in future or have a list on the Userbox template or subpages...
3. There's more like Template:RankS, and of course editors can make more.

For a simple signature, go to Special:Preferences, type this is the signature box "[[User:Adster1005|]] ([[User talk:Adster1005|talk]])", and make sure to tick treat signature as wikitext. Luke (talk) 20:34, 16 February 2016 (UTC)
