Problem with notifications
Hi, I joined the wiki 6 months ago, but no matter what I do, the "Welcome to Inkipedia, Untitled-1! We're glad you're here." notification won't go away! What do I do? --Untitled-1 (talk) 20:09, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- Try clicking the blue dot on the top right corner of the notification. 21:17, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
- I had this problem and this worked for me, thanks ! Marinasairpods (talk) 08:26, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- I tried it, and it still won't go away. --Untitled-1 (talk) 02:27, 10 July 2019 (UTC)

News
I found some News that could go on the news feed here. Should we put it on? Splatana talk contribs 07:20, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
- Uh, when I tried to click on the link, it just said "error: page not found." Although that could just be my internet (i'm currently out of town and the internet is always crashing left and right and not loading things properly) SundaeSquidTalk 07:31, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
Pretty sure its your internet, as it works fine for me. Splatana talk contribs 08:24, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oh ok, that's what I thought xD SundaeSquidTalk 08:40, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
The Problem With Signatures
Why do the signatures always have to be either a link to your user page, or a clever nickname for your username? Can't you use your username in actual Splatoon or whatever? SquiddyGirlTalk 21:32, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
- The purpose of writing a message on the wiki is to improve the wiki, not to play the game. Heddy (talk) 22:00, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
oooooohhhh right SquiddyGirlTalk 15:13, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
Mass upload of Maps in Splatoon 2 from Zorg's Mega folder
Zorg has taken captures of maps with the help of some friends and they are stored inside a Mega zip folder. Now inorder for it to be seen by the public, they need to be uploaded to the wiki. They are all same size, standard HD, 1920x1080, and uniform since that's how splatoon's own spectator camera works. My main concern is the sides of the images that are just taking space in the image. You can see an example of it in Arowana Mall where I put the old and the new images side by side. Should we keep the old ones or upload the new ones who have unnecessary sides? I want to hear your opinions about it. =D User:Shachar700/Sig 15:08, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- I'm of course a bit biased, but my own reasoning for my opinion to keeping them as they are is, as Shahar said above, consistency; that being how the in-game spectator camera gives the view, and that all images would be the same dimensions. (And no, resizing the cropped versions back to HD size would mean the quality of it would be worse.) The only discrepancy i can see is that the scale of separate stages aren't uniform. Alternatively, i could argue usage of these as a standard image-set for those who'd want to utilize these for their own, like pro teams for overlaying callout data or strategies for example... even if that would imply they'd know about the existence of these in the first place. --Zorg (talk) 15:33, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- Minor edit: I'm mostly talking about the top-down images, not the "minimap" ones. Also, i guess people could still access the original unedited ones even if the wiki would only have cropped ones. --Zorg (talk) 15:36, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
- I prefer the cropped versions a little more, only because they make the actual "map" a little easier to see on the page itself. With the widescreen versions, a large portion of the map is occupied by empty space, making the actual map a good bit harder to see in the thumbnail! We could increase the thumbnail size, though I think the ones we have already might be a little better. That being said, I'm fine with the full view for the top-down photos. ShinyCelesteela (talk) 18:42, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Cropped may be best for the wiki. On each file's page, the mega.nz link should be included for those needing the originals. Heddy (talk) 20:12, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
Fan-Made Articles And Fanon Users
At the time of writing this, a few pages have been created on the wiki for fan-fiction such as this one. I've also seen several users that only edits have been to Fanon pages. Should we put a disclaimer on the user page or something that explains that this is NOT a Fanon wiki. There are other wikis for that. -- Splatana talk contribs 10:46, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- Yeah, probably. I've been seeing that a lot, too. I think we should leave msgs on the users' talk pages explaining that this isn't a fanon wiki~ SundaeSquidTalk 14:09, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- We shouldn't need to go this far, but maybe it could be a thing for the wiki policy, just so there can be something to quickly refer them to? It should be obvious that this is for canon info only, but still. Could be something. GloverMist (talk) 18:25, 12 July 2019 (UTC)
- The policy page can be found at INK:UNOFFICIAL. Heddy (talk) 20:15, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
- Aha! Thought there must have been something in there, clearly I missed it! Thanks for reminding me. GloverMist (talk) 20:22, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

So like... is there no plan to translate the Splatocalypse dialogue from Japanese?
I write about Splatoon theory content for YouTube and run a fandom blog, I found a translation of the announce dialogue but I've been hoping for a while now that you'd translate the post-Fest dialogue and it still hasn't happened.
Help? Mathface (talk) 04:41, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- What do you mean? The dialogue for the Final Fest announcement and the results are both on the Chaos vs. Order page in English, Japanese, Dutch, French, etc. or are you talking about something different? Sorry if I misunderstood~ SundaeSquidTalk 06:01, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- First of all, not everyone on Inkipedia can speak Japanese. Secondly, it’ll just be translated when someone who can finds the time to it :) 〜Splattersky・talk
