Booyah Battle 5 was a Splatoon online tournament held on March 12th, 2016.[1] The tournament became the subject of controversy and was heavily criticized by participating teams. Most notably, a handful of teams ended up dropping from the tournament during the group stage due to constant delays between rounds, while others complained about the lack of a consistent rule regarding latency while playing matches.[2]
It was the fifth tournament in the Booyah Battle tournament series.
