Melon (JP: メロン Meron) is a Japanese gamer known for his participation in multiple Splatoon 2 and Splatoon 3 tournaments. He is almost unanimously considered to be one of the best Splatoon players in the world and of all time.

Player Profile

Melon is regarded by almost every competitive player, in both the Japanese and Western scenes, as one of the best Splatoon players in the world, with some even claiming that he is the greatest player of all time. He is known for his excellent mechanical skill, flanking, and in-game awareness, especially in the Splat Zones mode. Melon, like most top level players, has been known to use a variety of weapons, but he especially gravitates towards short-range shooters, including the Splattershot, Splash-O-Matic, and .52 Gal.

Trivia

  • Melon was the first player to ever reach 4000 X Power in Splatoon 3[1], and he later became the first player to reach 5000 X Power almost a year later[2].
