Rules
The tournament introduced a new system where no teams got eliminated in the group stage.
It started with a Round Robin group stage where all 32 entrants were divided over 8 groups. Every team played each opponent in their group in a Best-of-3 match. For each match, a time limit of 30 minutes was in place. Stalling or not finishing the match in time could result in penalties.
Out of each group, the top 2 moved to the major bracket and the bottom 2 moved to the minor bracket. As a result, there were 2 Double-Elimination brackets allowing for no teams to get eliminated from the group stage.
The final stage was ran as Double-Elimination bracket for both the major and the minor bracket. Matches on the winners side of these brackets were a Best-of-5, while the matches on the losers side were a Best-of-3. The only exceptions were the grand finals and (if needed) bracket reset, which were to be a Best-of-7 match.
