Post-release content is additional post-launch content released for Splatoon 2. Nintendo frequently releases new weapons, stages, modes, features, and gear. Usually, Nintendo announces the release date of upcoming content via their social media accounts. An Inkopolis News announcement introduces the new content when it has been released. Interestingly, most additional content is already in Splatoon 2, waiting to be unlocked by Nintendo. Nintendo has claimed that new content will continue to be released for "about a year" [1].
