Version 4.1.0 is an update to Splatoon 2 that was released on 3 October 2018 at 02:00 UTC.

New content

Weapons

Kensa Collection #2 was be released. The set includes new sub and special weapons.

A new bomb-type sub weapon – the Fizzy Bomb – was added.

A new special weapon – the Booyah Bomb – was added. A second, yet unnamed special was teased, but was not yet included in this version.

Music

Four new battle music tracks have been confirmed officially.[1] The tracks are from a two new bands, SashiMori and Diss-Pair.[2]

Stages

Skipper Pavilion, the final stage to be added to the game, was made available with version 4.1.0.[3]

Video

On 2 October 2018, a day before the version release, the Japanese Splatoon Twitter account linked to a Youtube video showcasing some of the new features in the version. The video shows a Splat Zones match on Skipper Pavilion, with Entropical as the background music, and with two of the players using the Kensa Dynamo Roller (showcasing the new Booyah Bomb), and the Kensa Luna Blaster (showcasing the new Fizzy Bomb).[4]
