Not to be confused with Festival Shells

Conch Shells are an item in Splatoon 3. These shells are earned before a Splatfest begins and impact the final results.

Earning

Conch shells are earned during the Splatfest Sneak Peek by joining a Splatfest team, then raising the player's catalog level via participating in online battles and working job shifts. Even if players can't play during the actual Splatfest, they will help their team by gathering conch shells during the Sneak Peek.[1]

Use

The number of conch shells collected by each Splatfest team will be a scoring category for the final results of a Splatfest. Conch shells can be spent at the Shell-Out Machine for a chance to win Splashtag and locker items.[1] Spent shells will still count for a Splatfest team's score. Conch shells will disappear when a Splatfest ends.

Quotes

A few more Splatfest findings while we're here... The Sneak Peek begins as soon as the Splatfest is announced, and that means you can earn conch shells! Simply pick your team, then level up your catalog in battles. You'll get a conch shell for every catalog level you gain!

You can redeem conch shells at the Shell-Out Machine in the lobby for cool in-game stuff. And it doesn't pay to be a saver - unused conch shells go away when the Splatfest ends! We're told that another SRL employee once used the term "YOLO," and we think it applies here as well.
