Slipstream United

Template:Infobox gear The Slipstream United is a type of clothing in Splatoon. It is a 2-star item produced by the Takoroka brand and comes with the main ability Defense Up.

It can be purchased from Jelly Fresh for 1,800 Cash.

Appearance

The Slipstream United is a soccer jersey with dark blue and red vertical stripes. The sleeves and collar are lined with white, on the left arm is a yellow armband with a black Takoroka logo, and up to each shoulder is a row of white chevrons. There is a smaller Takoroka logo on the right side of the chest in white and a small green and white crest on the left with three yellow stars above it. Below the logo and crest is a white Inkling word.

Abilities

The Slipstream United comes with Defense Up as a main ability. As a 2-star item, it also has two slots for secondary abilities. Since it is made by the Takoroka brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Charge Up and a lower chance of rolling Special Duration Up.

Trivia

• Stars next to the team crest on a jersey are used to represent major trophies the team has won; the team to whom the Slipstream United belongs has apparently won three.
• The Slipstream United resembles the home jersey worn by FC Barcelona. For a time, Barcelona's shirts included the UNICEF logo, which the "United" in the name may be referring to. Since the back of the jersey contains what looks like a 10, this is also a reference to one of FC Barcelona's players Leo Messi.
