The Custom Blaster is a Main Weapon in Splatoon. It is the Custom version of the Blaster.

Description

The Custom Blaster shoots special ink rounds that burst like fireworks after traveling a certain distance. These bursts can deal damage in a wide area, making it great for exposing hidden foes. It is one of the most powerful shooters in the game. It is a one-hit-kill but has a very slow firing rate. The Custom Blaster comes in a set with the Point Sensor and Bubbler.

Sheldon's Introduction

The Custom Blaster is a standard-model Blaster with a customized appearance. No difference in stats, but this one comes with a Point Sensor to track down your foes wherever they hide!

And with the Bubbler, you can charge in without fear once you've located them! What a great combo!

Notes

This powerful weapon can splat opponents with one direct hit. The Bubbler special makes the weapon’s one-hit-kill capability even more dangerous for your opponents. Equip the Special Charge Up, Special Duration Up, and Special Saver abilities to utilize Bubbler with greater frequency and for longer durations.

Competitive Viability

The Custom Blaster, better than the regular Blaster, has seen far more use in competitive play. However, compared to all blasters, it does not get too much use due to the better options in the Luna Blaster Neo, Custom Range Blaster, and Grim Range Blaster. That is not to say the Custom Blaster is not used, it is, just not as much as the other three blasters. The Custom Blaster suffers from a weak range and fire rate, and this time without a Disruptor to make things easier for it. The Point Sensor sub does help get directs more easily, but it's not as effective. The Bubbler special, however, is what makes this weapon shine. The bubbler is perfect for giving much more time to get a kill, it's safe, and it's immensely helpful. Definitely viable, not seen too often, but it has its uses in competitive play.
