Version 1.1.0 is a prerelease update to Splatoon 3, released alongside the game's pre-load on 2 September 2022. It was the version of Splatoon 3 available at launch.
Changes to single-player
- The Captain's appearance can now be changed by approaching the sketchbook inside the tent in the Crater and using the button to "Investigate."
- "Photo Mode" can now be used in certain places within Story Mode.
Other changes
- Features related to online communication can now be used.
Unlisted changes
- Adds the majority of data required for modes other than Return of the Mammalians, as only the single-player mode was finished in Version 1.0.0.[1]
