Splatoon Turf Quiz (Splatoon ナワバリクイズ nawabari kuizu in Japanese) is a video series by Nintendo on Japan's JR East trains.
In the Splatoon Turf Quiz, three characters battle it out in a three-way Turf War for the correct answer to a question about marine life. The three-way battle is reminiscent of the Tricolor Turf War mode in Splatoon 3. As in the Turf War ruleset, the character with the most ink wins the game, and Judd announces the correct answer at the end. The Splatoon Turf Quiz's quick format of 60-second videos is meant to keep commuters entertained.
Setting
The characters are yellow Inkling, purplish-blue Octoling, and turquoise Inkling.
- The yellow Inkling has the megalobraid hairstyle, medium skin color, yellow irises surrounded by a reddish-orange ring, short pants, wearing Fake Contacts, Tri-Shred Tee, and Force ReBoots, equipped with the Tri-Stringer.
- The purplish-blue Octoling has the octolocks hairstyle, dark skin color, reddish-orange irises surrounded by a light blue ring, short pants, wearing Ocho OctoPhones, Seahorse Shoreliner, and U Jellys, equipped with the .96 Gal.
- The turquoise Inkling has the bed head hairstyle, light skin color, purple irises surrounded by a lime green ring, short pants, wearing Retro Framers, Manatee Swag Sweat, and Tenya OctoReds, equipped with the Gold Dynamo Roller.
The battle is set on a stage that resembles Eeltail Alley without any textures. The bridge in the center of the map is gone and the two opposing sides of the map are much closer.
Scenario
The video starts with a yellow Inkling swimming in ink joined by the purplish-blue Octoling and the turquoise Inkling coming out of the ink together, aiming their weapons to the front with the logo of the quiz popping out.
Next, the question is shown for about ten seconds and then the three-way Turf War begins. There are animations, still renders with camera movement, and a top-view camera clips of the battle.
Then, a three-second countdown and "Finish!" cross lines appear on top of still renders before the camera switches over to top-view to check who painted the most. Judd then declares which option is the correct answer to the question which correlates to the character with the most inked turf.
At the end, the full correct answer is shown along with a character from the games.
Quizzes
The quizzes are in Japanese and are updated every Monday. The correct answers are in bold blue.

- ↑ While the species' scientific name, yucatanesis comes from "Yucatan", the state in Mexico where the species was discovered and mistaken for a B. giganteus; its Japanese name, エノスイグソクムシ (Enosuigusokumushi) comes from えのすい (Enosui), a contraction of 新江ノ島水族館 (Shin Enoshima Suizokukan, "The New Enoshima Aquarium"), the research facility where it was first observed to be a unique species.
