Splat Roller

The Splat Roller is a Main Weapon in Splatoon.

Description

The Splat Roller is a large paint roller that allows for quick turf coverage. When utilized, it flings Ink at a short range. If the player continues this action, uninterrupted, the Splat Roller touches the ground and is able to leave a wide trail of Ink identical to the player's movements. This Weapon is in a set with the Suction Bomb and Killer Wail. Enemies making direct contact with the roller are splatted almost instantly. Head-on confrontation between two roller users results in both players splatting.

Recommended Abilities

Rollers can be a bit unwieldy, and having the Run Speed Up ability increases the user's movement speed while in Inkling form- extra useful for an Inkling with a roller, as it allows them to move faster while spreading wide trails of ink.

Roller type weapons consume lots of ink, as they have very wide trails. The Ink Saver Main will reduce the amount of ink the roller uses.

The Ninja Squid ability might also be another thing that can help splat foes, as not being able to be seen while you swim in your ink in squid form allows roller users to sneak up on foes and squish them with their roller.

It is the most useful ability when it comes to the Splat Roller and other Rollers in general. This will allow roller users to access their Special Weapon more often, in this case, the Killer Wail.

Special Saver is very useful for all weapons, including rollers, as it conserves some of the special gauge in case the user is splatted. Along with Special Charge Up, this ability allows the user to use their Special Weapon more often.
