Splatoon 3: Expansion Pass is paid downloadable content for Splatoon 3. The first two Waves of downloadable content are planned to be released in Spring 2023. Wave 1 is referred to as "Inkopolis", while Wave 2 is called "Side Order". It was revealed during the 8 February 2023 Nintendo Direct.

Wave 1

Wave 1 consists of the player taking a train to Inkopolis Plaza. From here, players will have access to shops originally available in the Booyah Base in Splatoon, including Ammo Knights, Cooler Heads, Jelly Fresh, and Shrimp Kicks. The Squid Sisters will also perform a new version of City of Color in concerts during Splatfests.

Wave 1 will release in Spring 2023.

Wave 2: Side Order

Wave 2 is set in Inkopolis Square, though instead of being filled with color as in Splatoon 2, is now all white and more modern-looking. Branches of presumed dead or bleached coral can also be seen throughout the plaza. Bits of snow-like specks can also be seen floating in the distance. Deca Tower looks entirely different, resembling a normal building more than a battle tower. The Great Zapfish is also absent from its resting spot.

An Octoling and Off the Hook are currently the only known characters to be part of Side Order at this time.

Wave 2's release date is currently unknown.
