LimitBreak was a Splatoon online tournament held on July 16th, 2016.[1] The tournament was unique in that it featured a set of restrictions in team compositions.

Rules
The tournament used a Single-Elimination bracket. Matches were played in a Best-of-3 games format until the Semi-Finals and Grand Finals which were played in a Best-of-5 games format. The tournament also introduced a set of restrictions in team compositions by banning certain Special Weapons, Gear Ability, and a Stage.[3]
