Use

Like in previous games, most above applies. However, the Heavy Splatling in Splatoon 3 has Wave Breaker, a successor of Splatoon's Echolocator.

  • The Heavy Splatling is a Anchor, but also works as a support flex due to it having Wave Breaker.
  • You can place the Wave Breaker on the Tower similar to the Sprinkler.
    • Be careful when throwing the Wave Breaker. It can be destroyed very easily by the Tower or the moving platforms in Lemuria Hub.
  • Although the Heavy Splatling cannot store a charge while Squid Rolling, Squid Rolling can still be used to get away from things such as The E-liter 4K, or getting across terrain after a Wipeout.

Countermeasures

  • To stop the Heavy Splatling, the best approach is to Splat them right in the open when they have no cover, or while they're charging. Out-ranging them is also a good choice.
  • The Snipewriter 5H does incredibly well against it. Snipe it from afar, and build up that Tacticooler so that everyone will respawn quicker. Rinse and repeat.
  • Trizooka shots will also KO the Heavy Splatling, even when the Heavy Splatling is behind cover.

Gear Abilities

Ink Resistance Up

Using at least 1 or 2 subs of Ink Resistance Up makes it easier to walk across enemy ink. It also decreases damage

Intensify Action

It is not required, but Intensify Action does help with jump RNG so that the bullets will be accurate when jumping.

Run Speed Up
