A Gusher is one of the mechanics firat introduced in Octo Valley, specifically in the level Gusher Gauntlet. They also appear in Octo Canyon (mode) and Salmon Run.
Description
Initially, Gushers appear to be stationary, circular, silver grates adorned with a red knob, sort of like a fire hydrant. Upon being sprayed by ink, a large column of that ink color erupts from the platform, carrying all objects, including Agent 3, to the top. This column of ink blocks both enemy and Agent 3's attacks. After awhile, the ink from the gusher will stop coming out and will need to be sprayed with more ink.
