Inkfurlers are a mechanic in Template:S2' single player mode, Octo Canyon, as well as in the Octo Expansion.
Description
Inkfurlers are large plastic wraps that furl outwards when shot at by the player, creating a platform or climbable wall automatically covered in their ink. They will re-furl after a brief moment, which can lead the player to plummet to their doom. They can be reset if shot at the end of the furl. If an enemy Octarian is in the way of an unfurling inkfurler, they will be quickly splatted, however, this works in both ways; if they are damaged by a Sprinkler or other Octarian attacks they will quickly re-furl, dealing damage and knockback to the player. Inkfurlers are prominently featured in Sector 4 of Octo Canyon and are required to progress in other levels.
