Version 5.0.0 is an update for Splatoon 2 that will be released in late July 2019; it is the last update for new content.[1]

Changes

Private Battle

Private Battle will receive a new mode called "Turf War (Splatfest)", which will function like normal Turf War but will change the stage and ink colors to the look of a Splatfest. Stage selection options will include every regular stage, as well as all 24 Shifty Stations. The Ink color used can be chosen from all 51 Splatfest ink color combinations used across all 3 regions.

Gear

The gear item Splatfest Tee Replica will be added and given to all players as part of the update. The item will have the ability S2 Ability Ability Doubler.png Ability Doubler, matching the original, Splatfest-only Splatfest Tee.

Stages

Shellendorf Institute will also be worked on for version 5.0.0, with what seems to be changes to the top glass floor and elevated platforms in between the glass top and spawn.
