Welcome to Round 2!
There will be 3 weeks for artists to make their final submissions, then 2 weeks for voting.
Status
Submissions: Closed.
Voting: Open! The voting period ends at the end of 9 July 2022.
Voting
We will use approval voting. This means you can vote to support as many logo proposals as you want. The proposal with the most supporters wins.
You can change your vote if desired, until the end of the voting period.
Everyone can vote, but there are some restrictions on new accounts. Votes are accepted from the following accounts:
- Accounts created before 5 June 2022:
- The account has not been blocked for vandalism or acting in bad faith.
- Accounts created on 5 June 2022 or after:
- The account has not been blocked for vandalism or acting in bad faith.
- The account has existed for at least 4 days.
- The account has made at least 5 edits.
There is a voting section under each proposal. To vote, add your signature by typing: ~~~~. If you want to comment on a proposal, please use the talk page; there is a comment section for each proposal on that page.
Contest participants are allowed to vote for as many proposals as they want, just like everyone else. The only difference is that each artist will automatically have a vote added for their own proposal.

Insert your logo in the empty space in the upper left corner.

Insert your icon and wordmark in the upper left corner, in the red boundary lines. Then remove the red lines. Your logo is not used for this mockup.

- It's time to show off your logo in some mockups! Three screenshots are provided above, just edit those screenshots to make mockups showing how your logo looks in various wiki skins.
- Each submissions should have at least 3 mockups, one for each provided screenshot.
- You can also add your own mockups if you have other ideas or just want to impress us with your design skills.
- You can submit multiple color variants for your proposal. Concept and execution are more important than color scheme, as long as the colors are easy to change.
- If you notice a mistake or want to make revisions to something you have submitted here, you are free to do so until the 2-week final submission period is over.
- The feedback round may have ended, but you can still ask for feedback on the Round 2 talk page or on the Inkipedia Discord server.
- Make sure to sign by typing 4 tildes (
~~~~). Typing 4 tildes will automatically insert your username and a timestamp once you save changes. - You can copy and paste the following text to display your images in a table and create a gallery of mockups. Just make sure the file names point to your images (use the "show preview" button!).

Proposal 1
A clean Logo, with a wordmark that emulates without copying the font from the game. My design has enough to tie it to the games nicely while still having it's own identity. the full logo has long tentacles to cradle the wordmark, and add to the silhouette, while the icon by itself has a splatter. this splatter serves two purposes. It gives the bare icon a nice silhouette that's still readable while pixelated. It Also makes sure that there is always one splatter in any one image, since the wordmark already has one. For the other colors of my logo I thought it would look nice to change the colors of the wiki. Not required of course. I'm not sure how much work that would take, but I think it would look nice.

You might have noticed that some of the text or lines became random colors. They got caught in the crossfire when I changed the colors of everything else. Small text isn't easy to select in photoshop, and I'm better with illustrator anyway, so please ignore the oddly colored text. It does not effect my design.

Proposal 2
Just a little logo that's clear and simple, not really meant to be an eye catcher, just something to put on the site for a clean, somewhat official-looking graphic. During voting, I would prefer to have Ver.3 (if we could add that and the alternate wordmark as two seperate things to vote for that would be awesome) as what people are voting for. You may also notice the letter spacing for the ver.3 alt wordmark is different in the logo table than in the mockups. The one showed in the table is the better one, and I have yet to put it into the mockups. Just wanted to remind that I don't need a prize if I win, having my work on the front page and being credited under my name would be rewarding enough. I tried to go with a very simple and stylized look, depicting an Octoling and Inkling in a formation that looks like a compass. The wordmark was inspired by Squid Squad's logo with some tweaks. The colors can be changed really easily, and in this table I chose to represent the flagship combinations of each game.
Also, massive thanks for the feedback on both here and Discord! I tried the outlined logo on the mockups and felt it didn't look very good, so I went with the one without outlines

Clean vector log and wordmark. The icon was inspired by the image of an open book and the classic Splatoon squid. It also resembles a splash of ink (as if the squid is super jumping), and fits in with the recurring arrow motif in Splatoon's UI design. The wordmark is custom-drawn to match the style of Splatoon's existing wordmark. Color is subject to change.

Yeah, it took me a hot minute to submit these things. No need to ponder why. I wanted to make a logo that isn't affiliated with a specific Splatoon game, but also uses a palette that wouldn't get too annoying after a while. The second variant here might look like an inverted version of the first, but with a more cyan tinge to better differentiate it from the 'generic' infobox color.

Proposal 14
Artist: Mr. Hinoshin (talk) 22:13, 25 June 2022 (UTC) My logo is based off the chaotic theme of Splatoon 3, as can be seen by the graffiti which originates from Splatoon 3. Though I understand with my logo's direction towards Splatoon 3 that it may not exactly be timeless, and the theme of chaos may not be the best idea for a logo. Perhaps we could hold a similar contest in the future for the distant Splatoon 4 and future installments in the series, as I think the logo evolving with the series is a neat idea. However, I understand if this logo design contest was meant to design a permanent logo. Regardless I had fun making this logo and trying to emulate Splatoon’s current style.
