* Cat/Dog Fanboy/Fangirl
Upcoming or ongoing Splatfests
* Cat/Dog Fiend
* Cat/Dog Defender
* Cat/Dog Champion
* Cat/Dog King/Queen

In our Splatfest, our stages were Urchin Underpass, Walleye Warehouse, and Kelp Dome. I live in Canada. I'm not sure if I can find a translation for the Japanese Splatfest, but I do have the North American Tiers.
Is there really a need for the "Upcoming or ongoing Splatfests" section? I doubt people go to this page for that information. A simple link to Main Page/Splatfest should be sufficient, right? Heddy (talk) 17:03, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

I've added the upcoming Chicken vs. Egg rerun to it, but Nintendo also announced there'd be another two Splatfests before the end of the fiscal year/March 2021. Should we add these, and if so, how should we add them?

Super Sea Snails
Did any of you watch the Super Mario 35th Direct? There is going to be a Splatfest for this occasion! It is....
Aren't the number of sea snails given depending on what the team won?<br/>
2 extra sea snails for the team with the highest number of votes<br/>
3 extra sea snails for the team with the highest win percentage<br/>
If I recall the end results from the last Splatfest correctly.<br/>

Corrections regarding Splatoon 3
Since there was a talk topic about this i just wanted to edit this one. What about the new splatfest in japan that they posted about today? https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/632381923415822336 it is held from August 22 at 12:00 - August 23 at 12:00. The two teams are Grasshopper and Ants I think but i would like to see what others think about it first before it should be added to the "upcoming events section"
Under the "10x, 100×, and 333x Battles" heading, it says that festival shells can be spent at the Shell-Out Machine, which is wrong; instead, conch shells, which are obtained when your Catalog Level increases during the Sneak Peek, can. Festival shells only boost your chance of entering a 100× battle. Mentioning this here since the article is protected, so I can't edit it myself

Everybody Votes Channel
TheDoginator (talk) 08:48, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

Some of the Splatfest themes are recycled from Everybody Votes Channel. Notably, North America's first Splatfest theme (Cat vs. Dog) is also the first global poll in that channel, "Do you prefer dogs or cats?". To add to that, Europe/Oceania's second Splatfest theme (Eating vs. Sleeping) is also one of the first three regional polls in that channel, "Which do you prefer? -Eating -Sleeping". Japan's second Splatfest theme (Maruchan Red Fox Udon vs. Green Tanuki Soba) is also the first Japanese poll in that channel, "Which do you like, udon or soba?"

Help
Hi!, Splatoon635 here, when I was checking the Splatfest article I noticed an Inkopolis Plaza (Splatoon 1) picture on the Splatoon 3 Splatfest Info section. Personally, I think it's better to change it to the Splatoon 1 section and add a Splatsville picture instead, Thanks! Splat635 03:26, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Trying to write down if getting a lot of plus after Ruler will give you more snails.

Ink colours for marshmellows vs hotdogs was confirmed by nwplayer as ce334fff 008006ff ffe80aff (they're hexes) so the ink might have to be changed Pinkolol16 (talk) 08:13, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
I got Gear Ruler +1 and got 24 snails. Seems like it's the old system of winner ruler being 24 snails, and getting pluses don't give extra?

We're only going to get more Splatfests, and with 3 at a time, the table is gonna become really cluttered really quick. (In my opinion, it's already very cluttered.) I suggest splitting the list of Splatfests table, and the gallery, like this:

New Japanese Splatfest announced
Deep Cut's Spanish NOA Quotes for the 10x, 100x and 333x Splatfest Battles
Go to Japan's Splatoon Twitter page and you will see a new Splatfest has been announced! It's being held on August 22nd, and the theme is "Grasshopper vs. Ali". (At least that's what the translation said.) If someone could put that up on the upcoming Splatfests that'd be awesome!
I would like you to add these quotes respecto to the 10x, 100x and 333x Splatefest Battles in Spanish NOA. I will write it down for you (Megan is the Shiver's name in Spanish NOA, Angie is the Frye's name in Spanish NOA and Rayan is the Big Man's name in Spanish NOA):

: Grasshopper vs Ant.  Miiverse screenshot.  Interesting that they used a western story, rather than something Japanese (like monkey vs crab). --Christopher Fritz (talk) 06:17, 15 August 2015 (UTC)

Last Japan Splatfest
Megan: ¡[Player name 3 and number]! ¡[Player name 4 and number]!
Grasshoppers won 61% of the popularity and 53% of the wins. Ants won 39% and 47% of the wins.
So the results were 273 for Grasshoppers and 227 for Ants.
Callie wins. I tried putting it into the finished infobox but it failed.

Error in Reward Tiers
Megan: Es algo que siempre anima mucho. ¡Suerte en la próxima!

The second paragraph after the Reward tiers table still states "Win percentage is worth double the value of popularity." Of course, since the August update it's been quadruple.
Megan: ¡No me perdí de ver ni una sola de sus entitadas. ¡Buen trabajo!

Also, didn't the table used to show the EXP required for each rank, as well as cumulative frequency? When/why did that go?
Megan: Yo no podría haberlo hecho mejor. ¡Qué gran trabajo de equipo!

Angie: ¡Atención! ¡El equipo [Frye's team name] ganó una bonificación x10/x100/x333!

It seems as Japan's fifth Splatfest is around the corner. If you don't believe me, check out Japan's Splatoon webpage. It looks like Clams vs. Fans, but sadly I can't speak Japanese. If anybody could translate that'd be great, if not, we'll have to wait for Splatoon JP's Twitter page to upload info about it.

It appears to be Boke vs. Tsukkomi. That's from Japanese comedy where the Boke role is basically like the funny man and the Tsukkomi is the sane man. The tsukkomi usually hit the boke on the head with a fan. A well-known example is the Japanese comedy group Downtown. Also here's the Splatfest on the Japanese Twitter page if anyone can fully translate it: Herobrine (talk) 04:02, 5 September 2015 (UTC)

I think it's a good idea to change it. It'll be a little easier to understand for users that aren't into Japanese comedy. I think it should be called Funny Man and Straight Man because I noticed some users on Twitter were confused by it simply being called Funny vs. Straight. What do you think of that?

this was the closest splatfest yet, only a FOUR point difference. This was also the first Splatfest in the world where Version 2.0.0's change in battle multiplier from x2 to x4 made a difference in the outcome. == Full Japanese Splatfest Names ==

Guys, we should really have the full names for the Japanese Splatfests, like Maruchan Red Fox Udon vs Green Tanuki Soba, or Kirin Lemon Tea vs Milk Tea. :Honestly, "Maruchan Red Fox Udon vs Green Tanuki Soba" isn't the full name. Also "Kirin Lemon Tea vs Milk Tea". We don't say "Team Transformer Decepticon robots" as a full name. Just "Team Decepticons" accurately. But "Team Maruchan Red Fox Udon" was there in spite of incorrectness. However, it is true that correct full name "Red Fox vs. Green Tanuki" is somewhat elusive for most people. (Genuine full name is "Akai kitsune vs. Midori no Tanuki" though. These are proper nouns and the trading names. It's more hard to understand.) So, I tried to explain that in the Splatfest's Announcement. In fact, 2nd Japanese Splatfest's theme wasn't "Udon vs. Soba". It appears that the Pirates vs Ninjas Splatfest start time is incorrect. It is listed as 19:00 PT, but yet 19:00 PT has passed without Splatfest starting and the blog post says 9 PM (21:00) PT as well. :It looks like it did get corrected by another user. == Multiplier Change ==

The scores for Love vs. Money and Pirates vs. Ninjas are wrong, as the battle victory multiplier was changed to x6. The scores should be: Love 353, Money 347, Pirates 382, Ninjas 318. But the problem is, I don't know how to add a new Splatfest format. I see the "old" format indicator for the x2 multiplier, but I don't know how to add another one for the x4 and the current format with the x6 multiplier to make the scores right. --MetalSmasher86 (talk) 7:47, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

"What Could Have Been" Dialogue
For the American Splatfests, how did somebody find the dialogue that would have taken place if the other team were to win for Art vs. Science and Cars vs. Planes? It's not important, but to whoever uncovered it, can you find what would have been for the other Splatfests? I'm just curious. --MetalSmasher86 (talk) 7:47, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

:Heh, I was the one who put those in. The source I got them from is NWPlayer123, which she finds through the games' code files. Unfortunately, she didn't start looking for the other "What Could Have Been" scripts until Art vs. Science, and the dialogues go away after their Splatfest. == The win multiplier should be added to the charts ==

This is a protected page so I can't do it myself, but it would be worth noting the win multiplier (x2, x4, x6) that was used in a given Splatfest. Probably as a new column in the chart. It has changed twice already, so there's no guarantee it's going to stay at x6.

I recommend that the team name references for the eightht EU Splatest ("Pineapple on Pizza Is Delicious/Disgusting") be changed for the sake of contextual clarity. In the Results and Stages charts "Delicious" and "Disgusting" should be changed to their in-game equivalents "Pro-Pineapple" and "Anti-Pineapple", and under the promotional image the caption should be changed to "(Pineapple on Pizza Is...) Upcoming or ongoing Splatfests

Is there really a need for the "Upcoming or ongoing Splatfests" section? I doubt people go to this page for that information. A simple link to Main Page/Splatfest should be sufficient, right? Heddy (talk) 17:03, 31 March 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Corrections regarding Splatoon 3

Under the "10x, 100×, and 333x Battles" heading, it says that festival shells can be spent at the Shell-Out Machine, which is wrong; instead, conch shells, which are obtained when your Catalog Level increases during the Sneak Peek, can. Festival shells only boost your chance of entering a 100× battle. Mentioning this here since the article is protected, so I can't edit it myself

Wrong Picture on Splatoon 3 Section

Hi!, Splatoon635 here, when I was checking the Splatfest article I noticed an Inkopolis Plaza (Splatoon 1) picture on the Splatoon 3 Splatfest Info section. Personally, I think it's better to change it to the Splatoon 1 section and add a Splatsville picture instead, Thanks! Splat635 03:26, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

It's actually under the Preparations section.--MissDelibirda (talk) 10:42, 22 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Recording Super Sea Snails gains for Splatfest

Trying to write down if getting a lot of plus after Ruler will give you more snails.

I got Gear Ruler +1 and got 24 snails. Seems like it's the old system of winner ruler being 24 snails, and getting pluses don't give extra?

After we confirm this, might want to write it down on the Wiki. Akira Chisaka (talk) 03:21, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I too did not get any extras. I finished with Grub Ruler +2 and got 21 snails. Alt (talk) 13:13, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yeah, I was Fun Ruler +6 and got 21 Snails as well. P.J. GT(talk)SSBU Inkling Boy.png 14:21, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
There is no addition for higher Titles. Grub Ruler +23 and still 24 Super Sea Snails gained.   Perfectionist   (talk) 14:33, 26 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Splatoon 3 Splatfests

Splatfest themes in Splatoon 3 are shared between all regions. Should there be four tables? WUTAdam (talk) 04:27, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There is a possibility that we might get region specific fests in the future.
There was a talk about this once on the discord and we "settled" with waiting for around one more Splatfest and go from there.   Perfectionist   (talk) 07:42, 12 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Should the merge go through now? I know the possibility of future region-specific fests is still on the table, but we can probably assume the majority will be worldwide. Lucs100 (talk) 17:26, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
which region would we even use the results of if we merged it? cuz they werent the same in every region, for example, scissors cam second in the hong kong and south korea region, but everywhere else it was paper
Adalent (talk) 20:59, 10 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Are you sure? Because that's not what it says in the current table. Oh, wait, second place? These tables don't indicate second place, so that's not an issue; they only indicate the ultimate winner and the leader at halftime. And that was the only splatfest divided into regions, since then they've all been worldwide. It's been long enough, I'm merging them. OatmealRaijin (talk) 12:56, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Wait, no I'm not since the page is apparently protected. But someone should. It's been more than long enough and having four identical tables is ridiculous. OatmealRaijin (talk) 13:00, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's been a while and the page is still protected & unchanged. Is anyone able to merge them yet? If it's that important to keep that the test fire was region locked, we could just add a note. Spicy Vs Sweet Vs Sour

So the Spicy Vs Sweet Vs Sour splatfest just ended, & they didn't announce the winner on the splatcast. Can someone please explain why this is happening? Octoknight (talk) 00:12, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The Splatfest results aren't announced right away. They normally are announced two hours after the Splatfest ends. Odd S2 Splatfest Icon McNuggets.png (Talk) 00:21, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
its gets announced at the start of the next rotation, always been this way Adalent (talk) 01:01, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Viewing x10 x100 and x333 winners from splatoon 3 pledge box

I've looked for how you can view multiplier battle winners but can't find how. could some one tell me how and maybe include some photos in the gallery? Mrawesome1010 (talk) 04:40, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Mrawesome1010, I believe you can go to the pledge box immediately after winning the said multiplier match and scroll left/right while inside. -Xando (ping) 12:34, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Typing error

Hi so I have noticed on the part of splatfest where it says 4v2v2 it's put as 4v2x2 so maybe someone can fix that if possible no rush not trying to hurt anyone here Shiver101 (talk) 04:35, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Done, Good eye! Brycerw11 (talk) 04:38, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Actually, this might not have been a typing error, it might be referring to the fact that if one team of two teams wins the other wins too; however, I am not sure about it and I believe that 4v2v2 is easier to understand, so I am going to leave my current edit as is, (4v2v2) but we might want to consider changing it back to 4v2x2. Brycerw11 (talk) 04:45, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It does seem to say "4v2x2" on the Tricolor Turf War Page. S3 Badge Nautilus 47 5.pngFancyRatCredits - Inkling Boy Eating Popsicle.png 04:50, 4 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

When is the dialogue for Deep Cut's splatfests going to be added?

When I look at Splatoon and Splatoon 2, there is dialogue for when the splatfests are announced, when winners are announced, etc etc. But for Splatoon 3, theres just real life quotes about the new splatfests, nothing about the in game dialogue. Randomnamehere (talk) 16:13, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

If we decide to add the DC quotes, I have their dialogue for announcement of the upcoming fest. S3 Badge Nautilus 47 5.pngFancyRatCredits - Inkling Boy Eating Popsicle.png 16:18, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Someone already took action to add quotes for some specific splatfests, so I added quotes for the rest of the splatfests. There's no need. We just need a template so the dialogue looks like the it does for the splatfests in the other games; and we need translations... only English is here, we need Portuguese, Korean, Czech, Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Italian, German, French, Dutch and Japanese. It would be nice if some Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish etc players prioritized the translations./npa -Random 18:41, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

x10 odds and festival shells

What are the odds of getting a 10x battle? And how much does a festival shell affect the x100 probability? I have a whole bunch of recorded data, and I wanted to see if it matched the official percentages. Timmyr (talk) 03:49, 30 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Adjusting Clout

The clout section of splatfest is used quite often. However, it may need some updating and tweaks.

Although I have much to say, I'm going to limit the length of this message to fit time constraints:

Team Names for Synergy Bonuses:
Making a list for the possible names that synergy can give and what conditions must be met. This could probably be its own page due to how large it may be, similar to List of Splatoon 2 Splatfest team names, but updated for Splatoon 3.
SHORT EXAMPLE:

Condition Title Synergy Bonus
All teammates are squids Squid Gang + 0.1x
All teammates have Boots equipped Boot-Rocking + 0.2x
All teammates are using the Sloshers class Big Bucket idk the bonus
All teammates are wearing Glasses Near-Sighted + 0.2x
All teammates have Toxic Mist Toxic + 0.2x

It does not have to be a single list though, we could possibly split up some of the charts to allow the reader to single out and select certain attributes, similar to what I did with Salmon Run Next Wave data#Weapon Statistics.

I hope this was a good suggestion! I would very much like to work on this soon. S3 Badge Goo Tuber 5.png Mario369 Talk Contributions MarioL369 (talk) 17:59, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
