I've been bothered with the current format of gear templates Template:Gear intro text and Template:Gear ability and brand info (especially the latter), since they are wordy (thus hard to read) and could be organized. I'm making a poll to decide which new format Inkipedians want to use. — Exaskliri (they/them) (talk | contribs) 12:19, 17 March 2024 (UTC)

- I think this one is the most aesthetically pleasing to me. It looks good on mobile as well. one small issue is if your screen is *big* enough, the ability box gets really stretched out vertically since it's in the same row as the larger tables, and doesn't look as nice as it could. still my top pick though Goldendoodle252 (talk) 02:57, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
Bullet points (with some tables)
This format consists of bullet points under two headers, Acquisition (where to get) and Stats/Data (stats of gear item such as ability and stars; please tell which name you prefer when supporting this).

- For Stats/Data I would go with "Data". Heddy (talk) 12:54, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
- This format is much cleaner than the current equivalent. I prefer the lists of text format's neatness over the loose-looking table formatting. Amazing work! Yoshifan52 (talk) 01:11, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- I personally like this the most. Perfect balance of text and tables. The first template could become too cluttered on smaller screens with it being purely tables, and could potentially be overwhelming. I think this one would be the best replacement for the current template. Very nice job!! :] LoTz (talk)

- This is the easiest for me to find information in! I agree with the points LoTz mentioned - the first option with only tables could become cluttered, but this option (mainly bullet points with some tables) doesn't feel cluttered or overwhelming. Lid (talk) 02:21, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Somewhat begrudgingly I think this is the best manner of speaking. While I prefer the paragraph format personally, ultimately I think this will be better for the end reader, especially when trying to scan quickly. Trig - 02:29, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- I'm with the paragraph format and this format; but this one looks the most appealing. Sure, it's going to be significantly larger on the pages, but it makes skimming a lot more easier than before. -Random 13:12, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
- I agree with what has been said up, especially by Lid. With this I can connect and find information more easily with the nearby tables without using the other format.

- Looks great! definitely good information allocation within the space. Support. WaferCaken

Abilities
The White Tee comes with Ink Saver (Sub) as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 3, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Clothing (with the exception of Ability Doubler). As a 0-star item, the White Tee comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Man-o'-Wardrobe for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level to 1 or 2 stars will add a secondary ability slot per level, up to a maximum of three slots. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the SquidForce gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Ink Resistance Up and a lower chance of rolling Ink Saver (Main) to fill its secondary ability slots.

Discussion
- I've fixed the issue User:Goldendoodle252 mentioned. Feel free to revert the edit if you liked it better before. Also, I didn't notice the question on the version I supported — I think I like "Data" as well.

- Thanks for fixing it. — Exaskliri (they/them) (talk | contribs) 11:46, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- For the "Stats/Data" question, I want to add that "Data" would also be more correct just considering the dictionary definitions of the words. Statistics are the result of data analysis, but no analysis has taken place, so this is just data. Heddy (talk) 14:32, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
