Information about it was first available on 29 December 2023 at 22:00 UTC on SplatNet 3 after the conclusion of a Sheldon's Dress-Up Showdown Challenge. It was first available on 17 January 2024 during Chill Season 2023 as the twenty-second available Challenge in Splatoon 3.
Description
During the Challenge, the Rainmaker weapon appears in modes other than Rainmaker.
In this Challenge, the Rainmaker does not drop where the holder is splatted; instead, it returns to the center of the stage. Similar to the standard Rainmaker mode, there is a timer for the holder of the Rainmaker. If the timer reaches zero, the holder is splatted. However, unlike the standard mode, the Rainmaker returns to the center of the stage after the explosion timer reaches zero.
