Sizzle Season 2023 is the currently ongoing fourth season of Splatoon 3. The season began on 1 June 2023, a day after the release of Version 4.0.0.

Announcement

Sizzle Season 2023 was announced on 16 May 2023 on the @SplatoonNA and @SplatoonJP Twitter accounts. A higher-quality trailer was uploaded to Nintendo's official North American and Japanese YouTube accounts.

Locker customizations

Sizzle Season 2023 added 52 new locker customization items: 10 decorations and 42 stickers:

• 12 total customizations are unlockable Salmon Run Next Wave event rewards: 4 decorations may be earned through Big Run and 8 stickers may be earned through Eggstra Work.
• 18 total customizations are available for purchase at Hotlantis and the Shell-Out Machine after being unlocked in the seasonal Catalog: 6 decorations and 12 stickers.
• 22 total stickers are unlockable via leveling up the newly added Weapons' Freshness Rating.
  • There are 2 stickers unlockable for each individual weapon, awarded upon reaching 2-Star Freshness and 3-Star Freshness.

• New Tableturf Battle Cards.
  • Cards for all the weapons being added this season will be making a debut in the mode.
  • Win streaks will now be shown in Tableturf Battle lobbies.
  • Tableturf Battle lobbies will now no longer close once the host leaves.
  • It is now possible to level up to level 999 in Tableturf Battle.
• New bands and music:
  • The bands Yoko & the Gold Bazookas, Chroma Chaos, Medusa and Nothing in My Wave were added.
  • The songs Ska-BLAM, Rockagilly Blues, and Three-Horn Circus were added as songs that may play during Multiplayer matches.
  • The songs Pop 'n' Schlock, Clashing Colors and Dorsal Slicer were added as songs that may play in the Lobby.
• New Deep Cut map dialogue during Anarchy Splatcasts.
• A new Color Lock option was added.
• When in a team in Anarchy Battle (Open), the ability to "Change gear and continue" is added.
