Splatsville's unique decoration and other features for SpringFest.

As a special Splatfest, SpringFest is accompanied by several cosmetic changes to the game, as well as new gear:

  • Splatsville, Inkopolis Plaza, and Inkopolis Square are decorated with a spring theme. These decorations include flowers, artificial cherry trees, paper parasols, Easter eggs, and colorful Moai statues. The kitsune and tanuki statues in Inkopolis Plaza are wearing flower crowns.
  • Deep Cut, the Squid Sisters, and Off the Hook wear special outfits.
    • Shiver's signature color, including her hair and eyebrows, changes to light green. She wears a single sakura earring in her right ear instead of three shark tooth-shaped ones, and a sakura crown in place of her headband. Her shawl has a green-to-pink gradient, and a large, sea-green flower-shaped clip instead of its usual octopus-shaped one.
    • Frye's hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, and pants all feature a pink-to-sea-green gradient. Her top and shawl are both recolored coral red, and the squid-shaped clip on her belt is replaced with a large white floral one with pink polka-dots. Her earrings and fried squid headband are replaced with new ones styled after hanami dango dumplings.
    • Big Man's body has a green-to-pink sheen. He has two red circles painted on his cheeks resembling blush marks, and his usual white-and-red hat is replaced with a large green-and-pink one bearing a floral motif.
    • Callie and Marie wear pastel pink and green versions of their normal stockings and dresses, with Callie's outfit being more pink and Marie's outfit being more green. Both of their dresses feature highlights in the opposite of the outfit's primary color. Their stockings are striped pink and green. Callie wears pastel pink gloves while Marie wears pastel green ones, with matching collars and earrings. Marie's hat features a different pattern that resembles tie-dye print. Callie has a sea-green flower mark painted on her right cheek, while Marie has a lime-green one on her left.
    • Pearl wears a Gothic metal-inspired outfit with a spiky black crown and studded collar, and a low-cut black T-shirt with white designs on her front that resemble her and Marina's tentacles curled into a stylized heart shape. The straps of her top are visible over her otherwise bare shoulders. She wears fishnet stockings over black pantyhose, and boots with chains wrapped around the ankles and skull designs on the tongues. The tips of Pearl's tentacles additionally become pastel pink with pastel green spots.
    • Marina wears different headphones with a wire-mesh pattern on the ears, a white bandeau, and a purple navel piercing. She does not wear gloves; instead, her outfit features a black mesh garment that reaches down from her neck to the index and middle fingers of both hands. She wears long white pants with plain black hiking boots, and her tentacles take on a sea green-to-pink gradient.
  • A special news article in the Nintendo Switch news rewards players with four unique pieces of headgear and nine unique pairs of shoes:
