This article is about the Splatfest in Splatoon 3. For the Splatfest from Splatoon 2, see Tsubuan vs. Koshian.

あんこ vs カスタード vs ホイップ (Red Bean Paste vs. Custard vs. Whipped Cream) was a Splatfest event exclusive to the Japan region in Splatoon 3. It was the second Splatfest to take place during Chill Season 2023 and was announced on social networks on February 1 2024.[1]

The Americas/Oceania, Europe, and Hong Kong/South Korea regions' Friday vs. Saturday vs. Sunday Splatfest took place concurrently with this Splatfest.

Details

This was the second Splatfest in Splatoon 3 to differ by region: players who select the Japan region were able to participate in this Splatfest, whereas players who selected the Americas/Oceania, Europe, or Hong Kong/South Korea regions would instead participate in the Friday vs. Saturday vs. Sunday Splatfest as a combined group, held at the same time.

The teams represented three very popular dessert fillings in Japan:

  • Sweet red (adzuki) bean paste, also known as anko; the team logo is a matchamanjū filled with red bean paste.
  • Custard cream; the team logo is a custard cream puff.
  • Whipped cream (referred to with just the loanword "whip" in Japanese); the team logo is a layered cake with whipped cream filling and strawberries.

The Tricolor Turf War stage for this Splatfest was Bluefin Depot.

Results were announced in-game on 19 February 2024 at 02:00 UTC.

At the halfway point in the Splatfest, Deep Cut revealed that Whipped Cream currently had the most overall Clout, and congruently announced that the mode Tricolor Turf War would be open.
