The Traditional Sandals are a pair of geta, traditional Japanese wooden sandals. Worn underneath are white tabi, socks with the big toe separated for being worn with sandals. The thick straps on the geta change color to match that of the wearer's Ink.
The Traditional Sandals come with Run Speed Up as a main ability. As a 2-star item, the Traditional Sandals have two additional slots for secondary abilities. Since they are made by the Famitsu brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.
- The Traditional Sandals, Traditional Apron, and Traditional Headband make up a unified design that was submitted to, and won, the "Ika Fashion Contest" held by Japanese magazine Famitsu. As the winner, it was made into gear for Splatoon.
- The wearer's heels come up slightly from the Traditional Sandals as they walk. These are the only shoes in Splatoon for which the model separates in this manner.
