As a 1-star item, the Cream Basics come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Trivia
- Based on their SplatNet 2 price, it can be deduced that the normal price of the Cream Basics would be 300 if they were purchasable from Shella Fresh rather than being a part of the starting gear.
- This is consistent with their price in Splatoon 3, the first game in which they can be bought from shops.
- As of Version 2.0.0 of Splatoon 2, the Cream Basics and the rest of the starting gear are the only pieces of gear that cannot have their original abilities restored if purchased through SplatNet 2, unless if ordered from another player through Murch.
