For those of you who want to know more about me personally, I am female irl and I like art and graphic design. Some other video game franchises I’m into include Sonic the Hedgehog and Ecco the Dolphin. Additionally, I’m also intrigued by portable cassette and MiniDisc players. (Not the crappy modern players that sketchy Chinese sellers pump out.) Anyways, I don’t like revealing too much of myself on a public site like this, so I’m gonna wrap this section up. See ya!

While I want my current level, amount of cash, and super sea snails to remain unknown due to them being so embarrassingly low, I will, however, show who I play as in Splatoon. Pascal, (named after the programming language,) is my one and only Splatoon OC. (Unless you count the enigmatic retro Prince in the picture above...) He is 15 years old and has a love for retro computing, hence why he owns a [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amiga_1000 Commodore Amiga 1000] that he cherishes deeply. He is a rather strange Inkling mentally, <s>(If the borderline romantic attraction to his PC wasn't enough to convince you...)</s> having absolutely no interest in Turf Wars and multiplayer battling in general, so he was dragged to Inkopolis by his piers against his will. When battling, (again, usually bribed by his piers into doing so,) Pascal wears an {{Gear|S2|Headgear|Old-Timey Hat}}, a {{Gear|S2|Clothing|Half-Sleeve Sweater}}, and some {{Gear|S2|Shoes|Punk Blacks}}, while weilding the {{Weapon|S2|Main|Dapple Dualies Nouveau}}. Overall, Pascal is kinda weird, but if I didn't like him, I never would've created him in the first place!
What’s up YourUsername. I’m Princewave (not “Prinzwave”,) or Penperry if you know me on my Switch or from YouTube, and I joined because I couldn’t stand how patheti– er… lacking the manga section was. Together we can make the manga section here even better than the Coroika Wiki! I’ll also help with general Splatoon stuff as well.

Me In-Game

I’m just going to throw it out there: Hivemind is a pretty freaking awesome character. Step aside Vintage, this guy is the most lethal, diabolical Inkling out there. From wanting to become the supreme leader of the Order World, to brainwashing his teammates to do what he wants, this guy’s got it all. As a very loyal supporter of Team Order, I bet Hivemind and I were equally as distraught when Order was revealed to have lost the Final Fest. (We could’ve gotten a futuristic dystopia with hoverboards for crying out loud!) Hivemind has a cool weapon, even cooler gear, and… and… woah. I should probably stop acting like my mind has been hijacked by him… Well, I think you get why I like him now.
Ah yes, the character with the closest thing to character development in this story, Prince! Prince is a character I’ve always liked from day one. In Volumes 4 and 5 (which is what I consider to be the peak of the manga’s story,) Prince was easily the most interesting and mysterious Inkling thus far, with the S4 only hinting at his existence as merely a shadow of his older brother. During that time, Prince was struggling with confusion and anger while under the control of Emperor, and Rider taking advantage of that to splat him in Volume 5 just rubbed it in even more. I was hoping for Prince to just let it all out during Team Blue’s fight with Team Emperor, potentially attacking his teammates in sheer rage. But of course, Sankichi decided to screw him up and throw all that tension out the window for having fun.
(This fits Prince so well! Especially when the pan flute kicks in at about 1:23.)
Manga Character Music
I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the Splatoon OST. It's just too bubbly and unorganized, and nothing really has a good drum loop or bassline other than the Spicy Calamari Inkantation. (Bottom Feeders and Ink Theory are just downright awful, and Dedf1sh's laughable excuse for synthwave just feels too... light.) Maybe it's just not my kind of music, but there's way better stuff out there, so if you want some tracks with a little more bite, then don't hesitate to listen to what I've organized for some manga characters down here. Of course, I'm staying loosely within the realm of video game music here, so don't expect full-fledged singles from actual artists or anything, but there may be an original song from a video game remixer that resembles something you'd hear in a game.
Some other things I want to put on my page that are not important enough to have their own category. (Please note that I’m not a competitive Splatoon player, so please excuse my less-than-professional explanations for each weapon.)
Probably my favorite weapon of them all, the Dapple Dualies Nouveau. (I usually just call them the DDNs.) The kit is so much fun to use, and the weapon’s low range and high damage output make it perfect for my overall reckless playstyle. It inks very well too, which makes me usually get more points of coverage than any of my other teammates. And lastly, it is a very fresh and cool looking weapon that looks great with some of my favorite gear combos.
Literally the only roller that I actually like using, the CoroCoro roller is yet another short-ranged weapon that looks dope. The white plastic fin on it makes the weapon look like some retro Transformers toy or something, and I can’t help but love it. The kit is one thing I don’t really like though, as I’m not good with the Inkzooka and Splash Walls never really helped me in any situation either. Seriously though, pairing this with some Fake Contacts, a White Inky Rider, and Octoling Boots made me look like an absolute menace.
Such a cool-looking weapon that looks really good with an Annaki Red Cuff. Beginning to see a pattern here? (The grayscale gradient on it looks so good though man…) I typically use this weapon in parties, where I lurk in the corner of a platform, and eventually strike those innocent little partiers down with the good throw of an Ultra Stamp. Sometimes I miss however, which ends up being the most embarrassing thing I did that day.
All E-liters

Passionate yet awful
Quite the intimidating weapon to be up against, the E-liter series is tough to master. I’ve always kinda wanted to be a charger main, but due to my impatience, I never gave these weapons, or any charger a chance. I think once Splatoon 3 is out, I’ll challenge myself to only use a charger for a long while, so that when I inevitably do bad, people will just assume that I’m just a low-level noob and move on. I will become a Japanese sniper, just you wait. (I’m not actually Japanese…)
All Hydra Splatlings

Don’t have one
Clunky to use, annoying to fight against, and an overall ugly weapon.

I applaud anyone who mains this weapon. I don’t have any desire to make my index finger swole from mashing ZR every time I see an enemy.

Everyone and their grandma uses these weapons, and I don’t get it. Their fire rate feels really uncomfortable, as they’re not really rapid or slow at firing. And like I said, there’s at least two people in every lobby I’m in that use one these weapons.
Oh boy, I vividly remember my brother and I freaking out because we thought this Splatfest was gonna be the final and most important fest for Splatoon 2, deciding the fate of the next game like Callie vs. Marie. Welp. It wasn't. While my brother chose Team Octopus, I chose Team Squid, mainly due to Inklings being significantly more expressive and having that edge that Octolings just can't seem to achieve. (I also really dislike the suckers on the outside of their tentacles...)
For some reason, I was really passionate about this Splatfest in particular, defending my choice of Team Spoon like there was no tomorrow. My bro and I would argue day and night about whether forks or spoons were better, we would laugh at the Fork Knife vs. Spoon 2 posts, and it was overall one of my favorite Splatfests. (I'm still crying over Nintendo not rematching them in 2020...)
I liked Team Modern's icon and it's ink color way more than Team Retro's, but all that swanky new tech just isn't as cool or unique as stuff from the past. I feel like if Team Retro didn't have such an awful ink color and icon, then more people would've chosen it.
I was really hoping for a Christmas-themed fest but whatever... I don't even play SSBU but I chose Team Villain 'cuz they usually have an actual personality and don't just stare into the void like most protagonists do.
Do you think that a teen would want to hang out with their boring old family instead of some friends? The ink color for Team Friend is amazing too. Loved the scenery in this Splatfest.
Despite my unending loyalty to Team Order, I will confess that I never actually participated in this Splatfest. I was really out of the Splatoon mood after Fam vs. Friend, and lazy ol' me didn't play the game again until Splatoon 3, our lord and savior, was revealed. And I have yet to not regularly play Splatoon after that.
