Turquoise October | No Squid Research description | Turquoise October's music is heard in the single-player campaign Octo Valley. Other
Cuttlefish Idols: A duo comprised of two female cuttlefish that was big with teenagers in the eighties and nineties, that still compose music for the industry in the present day. The Cuttlefish Idols are unique in that they do not have any listenable tracks and were only described in HaikaraWalker. However their music artwork can be found floating in the background J05C14 Stick 'n' Move Station with the artists removed, although one of their forearms remains. When translated, the text on the top-right corner reads" COIKARS" in Halfmoon script, which may have been the name of the duo. This is a play on コウイカ, (kouika, golden cuttlefish) though it is currently unknown whether they are considered inklings or not, considering there is no word to distinguish squids and cuttlefish in Japanese. The text in the bottom-right corner, when translated from Bold script, reads "pop pop pop", "hakkisyon!", and "Bye bye", which may have been some of their songs.
Trivia
- Dedf1sh has the most songs out of all musicians, with fifteen total songs.
- Turquoise October, the Chirpy Chips, the Squid Sisters and Bob Dub are the only musicians to appear in both Splatoon and Splatoon 2 (not counting the Squid Squad and Hightide Era also being unlockable in Squid Beatz 2 via amiibo).
