The Sesame Salt 270s are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 2-star item produced by Tentatek and come with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. They can be purchased from Shella Fresh for Cash 3,260 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for Cash 6,520.

Appearance

The Sesame Salt 270s are tall, white, laceless mesh sneakers. The top has a horizontal strap with teal Inkling text on the end. A small, teal Tentatek Tentatek logo can be seen on the sides of the shoe, between the strap and the ankles, as well as on the outside of the toes. The heels and toes are black. The soles are white along the sides, and teal at the bottom.

Abilities

The Sesame Salt 270s come with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 2-star item, the Sesame Salt 270s come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Tentatek gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill their secondary ability slots.

Trivia

  • This item, along with Sea Slug Volt 95s, were added to Splatoon 2 on 16 March 2018 at 02:00 UTC as part of the Nike-themed Latest Model vs. Popular Model Splatfest in Japan.
    • They are designed and named to resemble Nike Air Max 270 shoes, which are the emblem of team File:S2 Splatfest Icon Latest Model.png Latest Model.
    • As part of the promotion, both items appeared on SplatNet 2 throughout the week, and at times were listed at their regular price with their regular abilities. These are the only gear items to ever have their default versions on SplatNet 2.
  • Promotional artwork for the Latest Model vs. Popular Model featured Inklings wearing the actual Nike shoes instead of the Splatoon in-game versions.
