Area 1 is the first area of Octo Valley in Splatoon, where Agent 3 begins their mission to bring back the Zapfish. It has three standard Kettles, one Boss Kettle, Cap'n Cuttlefish's base, and a kettle to return to Inkopolis. After DJ Octavio has been defeated, he and the credits board will also be present.

- Cuttlefish Cabin
- Mission #1: Octotrooper Hideout
- Location: Directly in front of the kettle that leads back to Inkopolis.
- Mission #2: Lair of the Octoballs
- Location: To the right of the first kettle.
- Mission #3: Rise of the Octocopters
- Location: Across the grated bridge to the right of the second kettle.
- Mission B1: The Mighty Octostomp!
- Location: On the side between the first and second kettles.
