Sink the ∞-ball! or Sink the ∞-balls! is one of the five main objectives in Splatoon 3: Side Order, alongside Destroy the portal!, Defeat the fleeing foe!, Protect the zone! and Escort the turbine tower!
Description
One to three ∞-balls will have to be transported to goals placed on the floor similarly to the 8-balls in Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion. Unlike 8-balls, ∞-balls cannot fall off the stage and will instead bounce off invisible walls at the edges of the stage. ∞-balls can be moved around by using one's main, sub, and special weapons, or the player's body. Battering Lentos are attracted to ∞-balls and will try to push them, ignoring the player while any ∞-balls are present and have been moved.
Strategy
The player can use the ∞-balls to their advantage by using them to distract any Battering Lentos that could be coming after them.
The player can also push the ∞-ball without shooting it by running into it. Pushing the ball after it starts being attracted to the goal can help guide it into the goal faster and prevent it from overshooting.

- This is the only objective with no Hard floors, and one of two along with Defeat the fleeing foe! to lack any Rigorous floors.
- Similarly, this is the one of two objectives with Easy floors above 20F, the other being Protect the zone!
