Sesame Salt 270s

The Sesame Salt 270s are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 2-star item produced by Tentatek and come with the primary ability Quick Super Jump. They can be purchased from Shella Fresh for  3,260 or from SplatNet 2 Gear Shop for  6,520.

Appearance

The Sesame Salt 270s are tall, white, laceless mesh sneakers. The top has a horizontal strap with teal Inkling text on the end. A small, teal Tentatek logo can be seen on the sides of the shoe, between the strap and the ankles, as well as on the outside of the toes. The heels and toes are black. The soles are white along the sides, and teal at the bottom.

Abilities

The Sesame Salt 270s come with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, they come with any other primary ability normally available to Shoes. As a 2-star item, the Sesame Salt 270s come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Tentatek gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill their secondary ability slots.

Trivia

• This item, along with Sea Slug Volt 95s, were added to Splatoon 2 on March 16, 2018, at 02:00 UTC as part of a Nike-themed promotional Splatfest in Japan.
  • They are designed and named to resemble Nike Air Max 270 shoes, which are the emblem of team File:S2 Splatfest Icon Latest Model.png Latest Model.
  • The Sesasme Salt 270s were available on SplatNet 2 immediately, with the Sea Slug Volt 95s following two hours later. Both items were listed with their regular shop price and ability, which is out of the ordinary in the SplatNet Shop.
  • 12 hours later (exactly when the original listing timed out), the Sesame Salt 270s were available on SplatNet 2 with double the price and a different ability ( Ink Saver (Main)), indicating that the original listing was only added to enable access to the gear as part of the Splatfest announcement.
