The Neo Octoling Boots are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 2-star item produced by Cuttlegear and come with the primary ability Object Shredder. They are obtained from the Octo Expansion by talking to Iso Padre after collecting three sets of mem cakes (including grayscale mem cakes). They must then be claimed from a box in Inkopolis Square after completing the Octo Expansion. They cannot be ordered from another player.

Appearance

They are a pair of knee-high leather boots with two straps with a metal buckle on each side and a metal sole that angles into a heel. They are worn by enemy Octolings in Octo Canyon and Octo Expansion.

When worn by girls, the heel is more steep, turning it into high-heeled boots.

Abilities

The Neo Octoling Boots come with Object Shredder as the primary ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of Shoes, prevents the wearer from also having Drop Roller or Stealth Jump. As a 2-star item, the Neo Octoling Boots come with two additional slots for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since they are made by the Cuttlegear gear brand, they have equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia

  • Unlike some other gear earned in single-player modes, the Neo Octoling Boots are not called "replicas". This is shared with the other Neo Octoling clothing, and the original Octoling set from Splatoon. This could possibly mean that they are not replicas, but genuine clothing from the Octolings.
